Say you're going to spend a weekend somewhere but still want library access. Outside of a mobile phone and something like a chromecast, what setup do you like?

I was thinking of getting my SO an amazon fire stick so I can just watch stuff when we're at her place but I'm reading that it's a bit under powered. My LG G4 + Chromecast is really buggy, so I'm looking for a different solution that won't break the bank.

My last business trip, I took the fireTV stick with me...   If you use live TV on your emby server then the guide in the fireTV looks way better than the ROKU guide, if you even want to call it a "guide" in the roku app, it's bad...    But if you do not use live TV, I prefer the roku stick just because it seems a bit more responsive, and I like the roku interface.       I have users that like the chromecast, but I personally have not used it much because you still need your phone or pc to cast to it, and there are more moving parts to freak out..  try getting chromcast and your phone or pc on the hotel guest network at the same time, some easy some not,  lol...   But thats just my 2 cents...     :)

RPi3 with Kodi and the Emby for Kodi plugin if you don't need wifi. If you do need wifi I would probably try a Xiaomi Mi TV.
