cncb 25 Posted November 6, 2016 Posted November 6, 2016 Could the All Recordings display be changed to be like a library view? That is, have thumbnails for each Show and be sortable like by recording date, etc. Right now it is just an alphabetical list with generic folder icons and a few letters of the show names. Also, would it be possible to allow searching and setting up a recording from the guide screen? I'm currently using NPVR but is it possible with the built-in recording engine? Thanks.
ebr 16169 Posted November 6, 2016 Posted November 6, 2016 This gets tricky with the external services. With our built-in Live TV there is a "Recordings" library that does display like other library views. As for search, that is available anywhere in the app. Just hit the search button on your remote and the results will include live TV programs that are upcoming.
cncb 25 Posted November 6, 2016 Author Posted November 6, 2016 Is the search better for built-in Live TV? For example, with the NPVR backend if I search for "nfl", I get a bunch of results that just say "NFL Football" and I have to select each of them one at a time to see details (who is playing) and there is no air date or time on the details screen? Also, regarding the grid guide screen, if I select a program later in the day, there is no option to record the program, only tune that channel.
ebr 16169 Posted November 6, 2016 Posted November 6, 2016 The search accuracy is going to depend on the data but, if you search for "NFL" what did you expect to get back...? Are you an Emby Premiere subscriber? Recording functionality from the app requires Emby Premiere. That may be why you don't see a record option.
cncb 25 Posted November 6, 2016 Author Posted November 6, 2016 The search results are as expected, it is just the presentation that is lacking for me. There are a number of entries that just say "NFL Football" with "Program" underneath. I would expect/want to at least see the episode name in the results screen so I don't have to go to the details screen for each result to find what I want. I am not currently a Premiere subscriber so that explains that.
