sdfg 0 Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 (edited) After doing a fresh install, and removing ~/.kodi, when I install the emby plugin and the login window pops up, there's already a server listed there. It is one of mine, but I certainly didn't add it. I'm hoping there's data stored somewhere elsye and this hasn't been uploaded anywhere, but I have no idea where it could be outside of ~/.kodi. Any pointers? Steve EDIT: I've just been checking the logs for something else and noticed EMBY.connectionmanager -> Begin connect, Begin getAvailableServers, resolving ConnectToServers and so on - has my information been uploaded somewhere without my consent? Luke 42078 Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 has my information been uploaded somewhere without my consent? No it has not.
sdfg 0 Posted November 3, 2016 Author Posted November 3, 2016 No it has not. Ok then, where's the information coming from? :-)
Angelblue05 4132 Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 I have no idea what you are talking about? Are you referring to the server auto discovery? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
anderbytes 141 Posted November 4, 2016 Posted November 4, 2016 I was about to say that too. This seems to be some kind of auto-discovery on the network.
Angelblue05 4132 Posted November 4, 2016 Posted November 4, 2016 The server announces itself via socket on your local network. The add-on detects this. There's nothing uploaded anywhere. If you use Emby connect, you can add server locations associated to your Emby connect account (which is online), however, to add servers, you have to enter the address manually. So nothing is added anywhere without your knowledge.
