MediaImport Branch of Kodi Early Testbuilds

Montellesse is looking feedback, not feature request, on the updated testbuild for Kodi MediaImport which now supports Emby Server.

It supports;

  • Multiple servers simultaneously. Both Emby and Kodi (Kodi via UPnP).
  • Automatic and Manual Sync options.
  • Sign in with API Key or manually with username and password (optional) (in next Build)
  • TV Shows, Movies and Music Videos. (no music)
  • Series Pooling (Kodi always supported multipath sources.)
  • Watch status updating (resume points not yet supported, but will be)

I figured the people who know the most able Kodi and Emby are here, so give it a go and provide some feedback (not feature requests).

More info here.

If you play with this, be careful with the setting that allows it to change the Emby watch state - it doesn't work right and screwed up my movies watched states a lot.

There is an updated build from Montellese.

  • LibreELEC Builds are now available for RPi, Rpi2/3 and Generic x86_64.
  • Android ARM, Android ARM64, Android x86, iOS and OSX are also available.
  • The login to use the the Emby user system instead of a API key.

@@xnappo could you give it a go and see it the problems that you experienced with watch state using the first build is resolved.

  • Also added is a browser to choose which libraries to import, it defaults to All.
  • The imported libraries are then tagged so they can be separated using playlists. However, unlike the Emby for Kodi addon, it does not generate playlists, but you could just copy them over from a Emby for Kodi Client.

He is also seeking info about Sync. I saw where @@Angelblue05 has signed onto the request on the Trello Board that was added by @@marcelveldt. If either one or @@xnappo, @, @@im85288 or @@Luke could provide some info I am sure it would be greatly appreciated.

Not really, I played with a test server and couldn't duplicate, but I am not going to risk exposing my real server again :)
