berrmich 5 Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 (edited) Emby has started crashing the last few days. It will get into a show and then a warning will appear saying that emby needs to close. The show will keep playing if I ignore the box. After this happens, everytime I restart emby it gives be a critical error and will not start. If I reboot the computer it will work for a little while before crashing again. I reinstalled emby for WMC but this did not help. I didn't know which logs to choose so here are the most recent ones. Thanks!! -Mike MBClassic-291020168a3f6edaa9574a97b4de5acfd805e308.log MBClassic-29102016beb928e59aed4563a00e35d02b7f5137.log MBClassic-291020165b2625e5b8af4562aca0dd12840ef8c3.log MBClassic-29102016f2058a1a0c8d4b658cb21318f002f47f.log MBClassic-28102016fd2ddde27f324436b77f579045488bab.log MBClassic-27102016fd2ddde27f324436b77f579045488bab.log MBClassic-Msi.log Migration-271020169b0494e788164511ae7da9bdfc465d89.log MBClassic-2710201615e692ebd999485b836178a3309e3bfe.log MBClassic-271020164ae8b6e306af44fcbe8425849f96e90a.log MBClassic-2710201638f782f69cd94359bed34aa8f2793ab2.log MBClassic-27102016f3b01b2e79fa430581a1353919a60915.log MBClassic-27102016161a62edc9d148dc8204cd9fd03e6349.log MBClassic-26102016161a62edc9d148dc8204cd9fd03e6349.log MBClassic-26102016f8ac5ee5dd1b49448b22ee6e6775dd95.log MBClassic-26102016a796ea7c4108471aae2162b4eac6ab85.log MBClassic-26102016277ef87334814299b692f33f9e12d2e0.log MBClassic-26102016b178d5938bb5445ebf4421176d2b8925.log MBClassic-26102016635cd2d03c324b2896aa94ec066bcce3.log MBClassic-25102016635cd2d03c324b2896aa94ec066bcce3.log MBClassic-25102016d5d9f790884445d49d73fb23d28310cc.log MBClassic-25102016562571ba4fc34fd1b7fbf026b871a497.log MBClassic-251020160f41bd81a1c643d2baebb6bcf2aa4548.log MBClassic-251020166fa7789079f740a0b50b80967094a257.log MBClassic-241020166fa7789079f740a0b50b80967094a257.log Edited October 31, 2016 by berrmich

berrmich 5 Posted November 2, 2016 Author Posted November 2, 2016 Is there an entry in your Windows System Log created? Where do I find that? WMC doesn't seem to crash though. I tried installing the beta instead of stable version. Initially this seemed to work, buy this crashed over night.
ebr 16169 Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 Where do I find that? See the instructions and link under the EMC section here: How to Report a Problem

Luke 42077 Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 Hi, are those the only event viewer entries created during that time? That does not appear to be related to Emby for WMC. Thanks !
ebr 16169 Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 You are looking for errors or even information entries related to ehexthost.exe or wmc iteself.
Solution berrmich 5 Posted November 10, 2016 Author Solution Posted November 10, 2016 I went to update the server which I hadn't checked. There was an update but it failed as there was not enough room on the drive. I just have an ssd on the media center PC. Windows had taken more than half of the drive with windows 10 update, etc... Anyways I'm assuming it was crashing due to running out of room on the hard drive. Freeing up space solved the issue. Thanks for the help! 1
