Server Restart

Just install Emby on my NAS

 

There is no server restart option in the dashboard although there is a Default Scheduled task for restart @3:45 - although you do not appear to be able to run it manually

 

So am wondering what method people use for restarting the nas - say after installing a plugin etc

 

I can do it from the NAS's own dashboard but that is a bit clunky and requires you to leave Emby etc

I have the same question, I have searched for a restart button or link, but I don't see one.

There is no such button on Synology as well

I think, that I saw somewhere on the forums that there was feature request about such button - dunno what's the status now.

it's something that has to handled independently for every platform so there's just a little trickiness to it. Thanks.

Is there any progress on this? Even the default scheduled task doesnt seem to restart it... How necessary are the daily restarts?

Daily restarts? On Synology I restart only when there is an update - this thing should work 24/7 (if You don't restart Your NAS)

Daily restarts... Im on a Qnap and it didnt seem to auto restart at 4:00am like scheduled....

Daily restarts are not necessary. The restart plugin only works on platforms where the server has implemented restarting.
