Remote control button stops playback

When starting one of my series episodes from a android/web interface to a Chromecast device, pressing the remote button to pause/play/change subs, the remote controls comes up for 0.2 seconds, than playback immediately stops and closes the remote controls again 

attached are screenshots, & logs files.

problem is here for around a few weeks,

Small add-on it seems that it's only happening when there are subtitle files available

Not true, its not in all my libaries, children video's can be remote controlled.

Thank you for taking the time to make that video. I narrowed it down to media that has a theme song or theme video. That's why I couldn't reproduce. I'll get an app update out asap with this fix.

Just tried it yesterday, but series A (with theme song) remote control works.

series B (with theme song) remote control fails.
