PenkethBoy 2068 Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 I just spotted my own error in naming a movie as had no internet metadata This raised a question I had the following M:\Movies\Jurassic Park\Jurrasic Park III (2001)\Jurassic Park III (2001).mkv rather than M:\Movies\Jurassic Park\Jurassic Park III (2001)\Jurassic Park III (2001).mkv But the movie was shown as with the folder name (spelt wrong) rather than the file name So is this expected and Is there an order of precedence here - folder name trumps filename if there is a mismatch or similar?
ebr 16194 Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 I believe when you have a single video in its own folder the folder name is king. The video could be named anything actually (title01.mkv, movie.mkv, etc.).
PenkethBoy 2068 Posted October 20, 2016 Author Posted October 20, 2016 thanks so if two videos in a directory it would use the filename/any metadata in the video file?
