candybar213 7 Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 I decided to go full MBT today before the Denver game. On my old setup I was running MB2 with shark007 codecs working perfect. New set up, fresh install of MBT with lav and xy filter. Playing anything and the video was in slow motion with regular audio. After some playing around I changed the acceleration setting in MBT and it works good. Now the question I see there is the same setting in the lav configuration what is hardware acceleration and do I need to Change it in lav too. What does the lav filters do it the MBT has it's own setting The Candybar213
Luke 42077 Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 we're going to be adding more settings into mbt directly. for any setting that you see in mbt you can assume that the lav saved setting is not being used because at run-time we'll be using our saved setting.
candybar213 7 Posted January 19, 2014 Author Posted January 19, 2014 When does the lav filter kick in and MBT not The Candybar213
Luke 42077 Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 what? all other lav settings are used except for the ones in mbt.
candybar213 7 Posted January 19, 2014 Author Posted January 19, 2014 Sorry for the confusion I am stupid. Ok so as you put more setting in the lav filters will be used less. What is acceleration? The Candybar213
MrFlibbles 21 Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 I assume the acceleration setting enables hardware acceleration of the decoding process. e.g. if your graphics card can assist by using CUDA or DXVA. This takes the load off the CPU and is usually a lot more efficient. If your CPU is getting pushed to 100% without acceleration on then video rendering is likely to be hampered and cause stuttering.
candybar213 7 Posted January 22, 2014 Author Posted January 22, 2014 Oh I c simply lets gpu assist the CPU with the video. Make sense this would be smother I am sure the gpu I used very little most of the time The Candybar213
rove 0 Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 (edited) The H/W acceleration options I see in MBT don't include DXVA2 native (available in LAV), unfortunately this is the only option that works for me. Will you be adding this option? Edited March 24, 2014 by rove
