MSattler 390 Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 (edited) Gents, I really appreciate the auto updates but it needs some extra troubleshooting and error catching. Twice in the past 4 days I've ended up being down, because the service crashes. And it leaves Emby totally down. 2016-10-18 12:31:10.1274 Info Main: Emby Command line: B:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\system\MediaBrowser.ServerApplication.exe -service Operating system: Microsoft Windows NT 6.2.9200.0 Processor count: 8 64-Bit OS: True 64-Bit Process: True Program data path: B:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server Application Path: B:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\system\MediaBrowser.ServerApplication.exe 2016-10-18 12:31:10.1711 Info Main: An update is available from B:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\updates\MBServer.zip 2016-10-18 12:31:10.1711 Info Main: Copying updater to temporary location 2016-10-18 12:31:10.1711 Info Main: Copying updater dependencies to temporary location 2016-10-18 12:31:10.1711 Info Main: Starting updater process. 2016-10-18 12:31:10.1711 Info Main: Args: product=server archive="B:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\updates\MBServer.zip" caller=3456 pismo=false version=3.1.193 service=Emby installpath="B:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server" startpath="B:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\system\MediaBrowser.ServerApplication.exe" systempath="B:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\system" 2016-10-18 12:31:10.1872 Info Main: Exiting to perform application update. 2016-10-18 12:31:10.4572 Info Main: Emby Command line: B:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\system\MediaBrowser.ServerApplication.exe -service Operating system: Microsoft Windows NT 6.2.9200.0 Processor count: 8 64-Bit OS: True 64-Bit Process: True Program data path: B:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server Application Path: B:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\system\MediaBrowser.ServerApplication.exe 2016-10-18 12:31:10.4903 Info Main: An update is available from B:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\updates\MBServer.zip 2016-10-18 12:31:10.4903 Info Main: Copying updater to temporary location 2016-10-18 12:31:10.4903 Error Main: Error starting updater. Luke 42080 Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 We're just going to stop trying to do this when running as a service, thanks.
tp90254 0 Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 This just happened to me as well. Is the recommended procedure to manually restart the service? I am on a win10 box. It would be nice if there was an automated approach, but I see there are plenty of notification methods.
hatharry 113 Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 The update zip will still download but a manual restart will be required. Ive sent a pull request to fix this.
