ET: ability to toggle playing media to 50% screen width

Driven my short attention span, I would like the ability to toggle the current playing media to 50% of the screen width

 

As an example, say I am n the middle of watching supernatural

• I impulsively decide to submit  a feature request to Emby
• I toggle to 50% screen
• submit my request
• toggle back to 100% without interruption to supernatural

Hi, welcome. What Emby app are you referring to? Can't you just resize the browser?

Emby theater which I use almost exclusively on my HTPC. I was thinking an icon on the "play bar" (where the pause and audio select appears)  for toggling.

your right, it is just a convenience feature

If you have any mouse available, double-clicking on the window will resize it. Set it to 50% of the screen, double-click to full screen. When your attention wanders, double-click and it is 50% again.

 

I just use multiple monitors to handle this.

I must be missing something, In Emby theater double clicking toggles you in and out of full screen mode but even out of full screen I have not been able to resize the window. Even when I use alt+ space to bring up the window menu, size is grayed out

You have to resize it before you start playback. Shrug, works for me.
