Moving my server, going through the startup wizard, this screen is really confusing to me:

Am I supposed to point to the FFPMeg executable, the folder containing the folder I extracted, the folder that was extracted (e.g. ffmpeg-3.1.4-win64-static), the bin folder containing the executable?

It doesn't seem to verify my entry so no idea if I am doing it right.

What do you perceive is the answer based on the help text? What exactly is happening?

Well, after I installed it, it appears that Emby searches for and finds the actual executable:

I guess it's kind of just a fuzzy question and Emby figures it out.  But I personally would recommend just saying choose the ffpmeg.exe or explaining that Emby will find the .exe within the path.  Made me feel kind of clueless even though I'm a long time Emby user which I don't think is a great feeling to give new users.

Ok, I will clarify it further.  But when you said earlier:'

It doesn't seem to verify my entry so no idea if I am doing it right.

What happened there? Do you mean that it advanced to the next step of the wizard without any kind of confirmation? Or was there an error?

Yah it just advanced to the next step no matter what I chose.

I did it a few times during this server build for some reasons that are irrelevant, and I tried selecting the .exe which worked, and then a couple different folders which also worked.

I didnt try just selecting a random place without FFMpeg so not sure if it errors out if it can't find the FFMpeg executable, but since it accepted several different responses it gave me the impression that it wasn't verifying.

Will it error out if it can't find ffmpeg.exe?

Just reinstalled again and answered my own question - it did error out when I picked a random location without FFMpeg.

That makes sense then I guess.

As long as it verifies I guess that's good.  But wouldn't be bad to change the wording slightly to clarify.
