New version of Emby for WMC will not install

I recently got a notification while using the emby addon for wmc saying there was a new version, I tried installing within the emby app but each time it restarted i still got the message that there was a new version, After trying a number of times to install, each time to no avail, i uninstalled the old version and downloaded the new stable version from the emby website, I still cannot successfully get the new version to install. I looked around to the net to see if i could find an old version to install with no luck. Has anyone else had the same problem or have a solution on how to get the new version to install? I am using windows 8.1

This probably is not related to the new version but, rather, just a general issue the machine is having with installation.  Try running as admin and disabling anti-virus protections.

Thanks! That did the trick. I had already tried running as admin but not disabling anti-virus protection.
