Windows taskbar appears when Mpc-hc starts

I have Mpc-hc set to play some of my video types but have an annoying issue.

 

Sometimes, not always, the taskbar shows at the bottom of the screen with Mpc-hc in full screen behind it.

 

Up until now I just mapped a button on my harmony remote to a mouse click which brings Mpc-hc into the foreground but wondered if anyone knew a way of stopping this from happening?

I am seeing this also, occasionally. At other times, I get the mouse pointer or the WMC blue spinner in the center of the display. But not always.
