bran2000 0 Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Hi, Do you Know how i can display subtitles with MBT 3, is there a key on the remote media center, is there any other shortcut on the MBT menu ? I tried the info key on my remote but it's not working Thanks
psykix 97 Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 You need to assign * to the info button. That will allow you to get to the subtitle settings.

bran2000 0 Posted January 22, 2014 Author Posted January 22, 2014 Thanks, it's working but i don't see the subtitles menu, any idea ?
pmac 143 Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 If the OSD comes up, but there is no subtitle section, it probably means the title you are watching contains no subtitles. That's how it's always worked on mine.
Swynol 375 Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 i think there seems to be issues with subtitles at the moment. most films work for me except mkvs with psg subtitles in. i can get it to work in mpc-hc player by changing the directshow video settings to enchanced video renderer (custom presenter) see the attached pic. cant get it to work inside MBT though
space2001 18 Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 I have tried to get subtitles to work from blu-ray's in MKV using LAV or MADVR and can not get it to work.
Swynol 375 Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 (edited) are you talking about subtitles for foreign scenes or subtitles throughout the film? there seems to be a issue displaying PSG subtitles - you can check what format your subtitles are by using mediainfo program. i managed to get subtitles for foreign parts to work by running the mkv through handbrake and selecting foreign audio scan and burn in. EDIT use handbrake nightly build Edited January 23, 2014 by Crazypete00
space2001 18 Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Yes I am talking about forced subtitles. Foreign parts with english subtitles. You should not have to burn in the subtitles. VLC and xbmc work fine.
Koleckai Silvestri 1154 Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 MBT doesn't currently support external subtitle files. They are working on that functionality. Probably more important things to do for these early Alpha releases.

Probably more important things to do for these early Alpha releases. I had this issue last night. It sees them, and you can select them, but it doesn't display them.
space2001 18 Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 (edited) My MKV's have the subtitles in them and hitting * you can select them. They just don't show Edited January 24, 2014 by space2001
Koleckai Silvestri 1154 Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Hmm... I have subtitles on within my LAV settings and I have XYSubFilter enabled in the MBT client. I can see the Subtitles for everything that has them embedded in the MKV Container. I don't watch movies or television without them. Though honestly, I was just playing with settings until they started working. How they look in the system:
space2001 18 Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Having issue on my machine with xysubfilter. When I enable it I get There was a error processing this request.
space2001 18 Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 tried removing everything from my system. but for some reason MBT still think xy-subfilter is still installed. Can't uninstall it for some reason

It happens only on movies that have subtitles Every other movie plays
space2001 18 Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 Finally got it to work. had to go through my registry and remove all traces of the XY-subfilter. Now it is working,
