chef 3810 Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 I have a chromecast. It is named "Kids TV" The chromecast will accept DTS audio (I think), but the projector it is hooked up to will not. So in order to transcode DTS audio to my chromecast, I should: 1. Choose DLNA from the manage server 2. Create a new profile named "Kids TV" 3. Choose the "Containers" option and add DTS audio to the lit of unplayable formats. Thanks guys! Ben
Happy2Play 9780 Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 I see a chromecast default profile, so I assume it is using and internal one. If so it isn't an option you can change. 1
chef 3810 Posted October 13, 2016 Author Posted October 13, 2016 Okay, so is it possible to purchase a reciever that has hdmi in and out, that would capture the audio from the hdmi in and send the image to the projector.
Luke 42077 Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 Chromecast does not support dts, it has to be converted.
