TroyBennett 9 Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 I love the customization you have with the library category of TV Shows. I use it for TV Shows. But I also use it for my educational programs I own. I rename "Season 1" to something regarding the educational program I'm ripping. for example when I rip a title that has a few videos under the header Introduction, I rename "Season 1" to "Introduction" and place those few videos as episodes. However when I view those inside Emby Theatre, it has S1,E1 <First video title> S1,E2 <Second Video Title> S1,E3 <Third Video Title> It would be nice if there was an option to display, or not to display, the S1,E1 before the episodes. This can be an option with the library creation
TroyBennett 9 Posted October 13, 2016 Author Posted October 13, 2016 Why don't you guys just give us the option of turning off the season/episode? Do I really need to see the season number on every episode after just interacting with the poster for season 5??? Do I really need to see the episode I'm going to watch is season 3, episode 15? No, so the next obvious question is, Why is it there??? Now I understand that some people may like it...that is why I suggested giving us end users an option to turn that stuff off, because to me, it's annoying to see that there. Whether I use it for TV Shows or some other use. This is my suggestion. You may think I'm weird because I use TV shows for educational programs. But that is not what my post was about, yes I did describe it there, but the post was about S#E# appearing before each episode and if you guys could add an option to turn that off.
Luke 42081 Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 Those numbers are relevant to episodic content. Yes an option is possible, but since that requires going into every app and altering the display, I was trying to suggest something practical that you could do today without having to wait for a new feature. 1
