Download with Subtitles

Loving Emby, happily paid for Emby Premiere and it's running fine on the server and via the web app, but I have a question regarding Emby Theatre.

 

If I download a file, is there any way to download the subtitles as well? I use Emby for foreign language movies, and auto download of subtitles works really well. Unfortunately, if I want to then download a movie from the server onto a local device for watching while I'm travelling, I can't seem to get the subtitles as well....

 

This is using the (regular) windows program (the "desktop app" as windows now calls it). I tried the store app but it crashed on startup.

Hi, there currently is not a way but it's a possibility for the future. Thanks.

If you're subs are external, you can mux them in easily, with mkvtoolnix.

OK, appreciate Emby can't do everything (yet!) :-)

 

I'm trying to avoid needing to use another tool or add another step, but I guess for now I just need to manually copy the subtitle files
