chef 3810 Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 (edited) ... When I bought it of amazon, it said it had DLNA wifi capabilities. It would seem that streaming to the thing isn't possible from emby. Or maybe it is, and I'm just not understanding it. It is this projector: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/aw/d/B01AQ9DNJ4/ref=ya_aw_od_pi?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Any comments (besides it is small lol!). I think I will have to attach a chromecast to the thing to connect wirelessly to emby. Kind of defeats the original purpose. Edited October 7, 2016 by chef
b0dyr0ck2006 57 Posted October 8, 2016 Posted October 8, 2016 "You will have to connect the projector to your laptop or TV. The WiFi feature is only used to connect with your iPhone, iPad, Android Device wireless." Apparently you can install kodi on it via the google store and USB stick, but as to whether you can direct stream over wifi? I'm guessing maybe not. You are aware that it doesn't have a huge amount of lumens? If your room isn't pitch black then the projected image will be very washed out 1
ginjaninja 605 Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 From the spec i would have under stood that it can connect to wiresless network on 2.4ghz, and that it has a dlna client with a specified set of audio and video codec compatibility. If emby was also on that network it should interoperate. May need a custom dlna profile but your not at that stage yet...until there at least seeing each other and emby server can ping the projectors wifi ip4 interface/address...might need to turn off firewall on both ends tf applicable to eliminate this as source of issue.
