MadibaJ 20 Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 Since updating to 3.0.072 and now 3....73 when my htpc enters hibernate Emby shuts itself down and does not restart/resume on wake. Is this a known issue or do I need to paste logs? If I restart the PC it starts as normal.
MadibaJ 20 Posted October 7, 2016 Author Posted October 7, 2016 Ok turned on debugging will post Log when it replicates.
Jennice 19 Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 Sorry if this is the wrong place to post, but it's on Hibernation. Can I put my win 10, server to hibernate in a way so that it wakes up for scheduled recordings or client access requests (web or theater)?
Jennice 19 Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 Windows Media Center can resume from hibernation/standby, in order to record something that's been scheduled. Is it correctly understood that emby can't resume to record? So the server would need to be on 24/7 then?
Jennice 19 Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 Could this be implemented by: 1: a WoL feature from clients (forwardning needed in router for WAN clients). 2: a Task scheduler entry to wake up the server, set to a new minutes before a recording. The task should be a 1-shot or be deleted after it has woken up the server for that particular recording. This could give interesting power save feature.

Jennice 19 Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 That thing is SOooo cool! I need to try it out Expecially when I figure out how to open my router for WOL from WAN
Luke 42081 Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 Yes it is a possibility for the future. Thanks.
Luke 42081 Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 We can look into setting wake timers for recordings. Thanks.
Luke 42081 Posted February 28, 2018 Posted February 28, 2018 This will be coming to the Windows Server two releases from now: Enjoy.
