Extend / modify the Web UI from a plugin

first of all thanks for this great piece of software and especially for being developer friendly - coming from the plex ecosystem the documentation here blows me away

 

I've successfully create a test server plugin - the c# backend code is quite straight-forward to work with but i'm a bit confused how to hook into the Web UI from within a plugin.

 

Is there a way to add additional pages to the regular emby server UI from within a plugin?

Is it possible to hook into existing pages, for example create a link on a movie page to a plugin specific page?

Hi, welcome ! That's not really possible right now but it's a possibility for the future.

So the http API (https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Emby/wiki) is there to be used for 3rd party apps i guess, right?

Yes although that is for server-side plugins. We don't really have a client-side plugin api. Emby Theater does, and as the architectures merge the web app will gain the same features.
