Sorting / Film director

Recent and happy user of Emby, there is one thing that i find missing and a bit annoying when you love cinema like me !

 

When you select a movie that has been scraped with success, it can be difficult to find the film director's name... it's only appearing in the cast and crew section. When you have dozen of actors, the director's name is lost far behind the list... It's quite surprising to me you can't find it right below the title for example. Is this something that can be added ?

 

It's the same with the sorting choices (suggestions, films, trailers, collections, genres, studios) it would be really nice to be able to sort with a director's name too ! Even with actors one ! The only possibility to do that is to go to the search section (but you don't always know the names) or to choose a specific film, then look into the cast and crew section and select the one you want.

 

Are there other users who feel the same about it ?

i tend to agree within reason.. some apps may not have the space for smaller details like that.. but on the web client detail page for example id like that.. even just as a txt/hyperlink without picture..

 

you should post this in the feature requests area, so that people can officially support this and the devs can weigh the pros/cons of changing it

The director's name is available in the ATV app.

The latest design is great and includes the director's name indeed ! Do you know when it will be included in the web version ?

As for the sorting feature, yes you're right I will post it in the request area.
