legallink 187 Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 I have several times restarted the server/applied an update while a show was recording, and not knowing it was happening. Any ways we can get the "Active Devices" to also list active recordings taking place so that we know what is going on with the server at any given time when looking at the dashboard? 11
CBers 7450 Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 Recordings also need to be taken into account when you have the "Allow the server to restart automatically to apply updates" option set. I'm sure this has all been brought up before, but never implemented. 2
MrWebsmith 598 Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 yes please to giving this more attention.. trying to get off using wmc to record and push more of that to emby server.. but NEED to have "eyes on" active recordings at all times
CBers 7450 Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 I've just started an active recording via Emby Live TV and I can't see that it is recording anywhere in the dashboard/web client !!
mastrmind11 722 Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 I've just started an active recording via Emby Live TV and I can't see that it is recording anywhere in the dashboard/web client !! Refresh the EPG window. That's how I get it to show up.
CBers 7450 Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 Refresh the EPG window. That's how I get it to show up. I'm sure I tried that, but there should be an easier way.
mastrmind11 722 Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 I'm sure I tried that, but there should be an easier way. Agreed.
SikSlayer 249 Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 (edited) I'm using a HD Homerun PRIME, all is working fine, with Schedules Direct providing EPG data and all, it all works just fine... The problem as I see it is, if I use a mobile Emby app, Emby Theater, or the web interface to watch TV, the activity will show up on the Active Devices section of the Server Dashboard, name of the show, which tuner, which user, etc, but when a scheduled recording is active, it doesn't. Shouldn't it? Also, the Live TV section on the dashboard only says watching in the active tuner when recording or not. I would have thought it would be more verbose like the Active Devices section is. I understand that if an outside plugin, like NextPVR, is used, this might not be possible, but when the Emby recording engine is used, all this should show up. Edited January 8, 2017 by SikSlayer 2

ebr 16182 Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 FR: Display Active Live TV Recordings in Dashboard
SikSlayer 249 Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 OK, I'll continue the conversation there. I searched but didn't find anything... I should have put "Active Devices" into the search. Thanks.
SikSlayer 249 Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 +1 I was just referred to this thread, I guess I'm not the only one to see this.
econ 74 Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 We currently have active recordings under Live TV - Recordings. As others have mentioned it would be nice to have these listed in the server dashboard under active devices. 1
mediacowboy 438 Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 For everyone that wants this please like the first post as it will show more interest.
