zelogik 0 Posted October 1, 2016 Posted October 1, 2016 Hi, Using xmbc(kodi) since many years, but the decentralized database was painful, and have and a mysql with different version of kodi running there was even worst. So I was trying to setup an emby-server inside a VM. Working almost, but unable to update 2 or 3 movies each time, emby-server process was at idle with 2-5% cpu use after some time, I needed to restart emby-server for 1 or 2 movies more... But when you have so many movies, it's just impossible to restart emby-server so many times.... And I have found that if I put a "watch -n 5 ls /mnt/<autofs-share>", now the emby-server run perfectly, maybe 50 movies already and counting... To resume: I have an VM with debian running emby-server (stable) an have an autofs mount (with a LDAP entry for each kind of media type movie/music/photo/tv show...) each mounted on /mnt/<autofs-ldap-entry>. And there is nothing in the log of emby, only showing the last media found. I can post if you need... but really nothing interesting Regards.
Luke 42077 Posted October 1, 2016 Posted October 1, 2016 Hi, i don't quite understand the problem you're trying to describe. Can you offer more detail? Thanks !
zelogik 0 Posted October 2, 2016 Author Posted October 2, 2016 Hi, Ok, I will try to decsribe the problem more precisely. Emby-server get stuck on my first media update at 52%. Each time I restart the process emby only updating two or three movies and suddently goes idle (even if the process of updating the library is not finished). The only solution I have found to increase the number of file emby refresh, is listing every 5sec the mounted media directory on the VM. The mounted directory is an autofs entry for a NFS share. Maybe that the problem ? ie: where is the 'attach' icon to putting log entry ?
Luke 42077 Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 Hi, click more reply options and then you can attach a log. Thanks.
zelogik 0 Posted October 2, 2016 Author Posted October 2, 2016 Do you want the debug option enabled? ie: I have removed all plugins.
zelogik 0 Posted October 2, 2016 Author Posted October 2, 2016 For the moment everything seem working ... almost 2hours of syncing and counting :-D Seem like disabling plugins make emby-server working better at the first scan of media library.
zelogik 0 Posted October 3, 2016 Author Posted October 3, 2016 So the log file. Sync stuck at : scan media library 51,7% since yesterday. regards
Luke 42077 Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 Hi, please make sure to attach a complete log file: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/739-how-to-report-a-problem/ Thanks.
