Question on the requirements for Extract Chapter Images

Hi,

 

I am interested to understand what is needed for extracting chapter images on a MB3 server. May sound a daft question but my videos are in .mkv format and I use an external player to view them. I have no MKV splitter installed at present as the external player does not need one. Will extracting chapter images work in this configuration or do I need to install a splitter?

That's good news, I tried chapter extraction on a small collection and it worked just fine.

 

I can now see images on the chapters tab on the client. However, if I click on one of these it always starts at the beginning. I guess that this a limitation of my .mkv external player. I am using PowerDVD 13 on Windows 8.1
