Emby Theater Crash on Xbox One S 4K Movie

Hello,

 

i wanted to play a 4k movie on my XBOX One S Emby Theater App (latest Version), and it completly crashed...

I attached logs.

Does it actually support 4k on XBOX ONE S?

The server is trying to transcode the file but is not able to do it fast enough to sustain playable video. If you think the file should be direct playing on xbox, then we'd have to look at why that isn't happening.

Hello, the XBOX One S should handle 4k without transcoding i guess? I am not sure about the audio stream support....

The S has 4K HW decode support, but not the pre-S models.

 

I read this from an interview with someone from MS, dunno who, I'll try and find it.

 

EDIT: Oh wait, it was HEVC, not '4K'.
