Install failed.

Hi I'm trying to install emby server on my WHS 2011 media server but when i ran the set up file it installed the .net framework then asked for a reboot.  once the server rebooted nothing more happened.  if i run the installer again i get an error

 

 

the log file it refers to is 

 

install.log

 

I've tried rebooting again and downloading the setup file again but it just keeps on giving the same error, internet access is working, ive disabled any downloads on the network and tried again but still the same error.

 

any suggestions?

Can you post a new log or error message then.  The new installer should be pointing to GitHub not Emby.

its working now, sort of.  i rebooted the server and re downloaded the file using the server and it installed ok.  its stalled at adding the library and pressing next does not seem to be doing anything

What browser?  I would install Chrome, do to IE being somewhat obsolete.

Yea I'd like to find out the issue with the next button. I think it is for to IE enhanced security when running under WHS.

ok it worked fine with chrome but i've broke it already     just reinstalling

i tried to change the port numbers to put it in line with my other services but when it restarted the server it never came back on...... exception error of some sorts.  re installed it and jst going to leave the default ports for now.  thanks for the help though.  fantastic to get such swift support.

 

i'm probably not going to use half of the features at first.
