scan media library taking extremely long time (100 MB log file)

Hello. Lifetime supporter here. I noticed starting this weekend that the media library scan is taking way too long. To the point that it never actually finishes. I scanned through the server log and there are a ton of errors - the log file is over 100 MB. I restarted the server scan so that a smaller log could be generated. The attached log is based on the scan stuck at 59%.

Your storage is reporting I/O device errors

2016-09-19 13:08:11.8168 Error ProviderManager: Error in metadata saver
	The device is not ready.
	
	System.IO.IOException

This is something that could degrade the performance of the library scan.

Did you figure it out? it might even be that the storage was just unavailable.
