djhifi 56 Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 (edited) In my metadata section I've placed the pull language as English of course. But now some movies (foreign ones, specially) are in need of a manual identify. No problem whatsoever. But I would like to ask if the embedded scraper only looks for english titles in the folder structure if english is selected? I have lot's of frenchies If the answer is "yes". If I change the language to french and make a scan, will it overwrite all the english titles or will it complement the previous scan? (as in adding the french ones and maintaining all the others which are correct) ? Edited September 17, 2016 by djhifi
Happy2Play 9784 Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 A Library Scan will not replace/overwrite existing metadata. You have to do a Refresh in order to replace/overwrite metadata. 1

Is there a way to clean unused/unlinked pictures, banners bla bla from the database? Specially for users who, like me, use centralized metadata path?

Not sure I understand exactly what you are asking. A centralized metadata path is exactly that a central location instead of with media. Are you referring to images that are already stored with media? If so you have to manually delete them.

EDIT: I've answered to you in another topic regarding server updates and I added another question which I believe may be a little off topic so Ill post it here and you can delete it on the other side if you think is appropriate: I have some movies which I believe were no scraped correctly. Because they are showing a colored poster. Like orange or full green, etc, etc. Problem is, I cannot open them in order to "identify" them with any of the provided solutions (imdb, RT, themoviesdb, etc). Wierd? Ive tried refreshing and nothing happens as well. With other movies which are also badly scraped but add some backdrop to the poster, I am able to open and identify them. You need screenshots to understand what Im talking about? Edited September 17, 2016 by djhifi
Happy2Play 9784 Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 Images that are changed via image edit in Emby should overwrite previous image. If you right click one of these items can you select Identify from there? Or if you go to the Metadata Manager can you select the item from there?
Happy2Play 9784 Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 Also note there is no visual queue when you click refresh on anything. You just have to wait and refresh the page to see if the item refreshed. But for a single item it is usually instant and a page refresh will show you the results. 1

But its not enabling me to identify the movie. Pictures incoming. Ok just noticed that it's not opening because the file isnt there...the folder is...lol. Sorry. Edited September 18, 2016 by djhifi
