Jdiesel 1431 Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 I'm not sure how the algorithm works currently but I've noticed the odd NC trailer sneaking in before playing some G or PG movies. Can something along the lines of ignoring NC trailers unless the movie is PG13 or greater be incorporated? My niece just got a trailer for Blind Detective before watching Frozen. Otherwise I may just have to disable Cinema Mode to avoid scaring the kids for life.
Luke 42083 Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 can you locate it in the web app and find the exact rating on it? thanks.
Jdiesel 1431 Posted September 16, 2016 Author Posted September 16, 2016 Ah I guess it is a Chinese movie...
Jdiesel 1431 Posted September 16, 2016 Author Posted September 16, 2016 (edited) Another example for the Korean rating system Edited September 16, 2016 by Jdiesel
Luke 42083 Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 I guess we will just have to block content with ratings that we don't understand although that may end up decreasing the pool of content for cinema mode
Jdiesel 1431 Posted September 17, 2016 Author Posted September 17, 2016 I personally am fine with that as I don't generally watch foreign films but maybe other users may not care for it. Thanks
ebr 16187 Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 I guess we will just have to block content with ratings that we don't understand although that may end up decreasing the pool of content for cinema mode We already have an option for that in the Parental Control settings... JDiesel - go to the parental control for the user in question and mark "Trailers" under the "Block content with no or unrecognized rating information".
LiquidFX 144 Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 I have turned off the cinema mode for my daughters account but it still plays and will play all trailers
Jdiesel 1431 Posted September 17, 2016 Author Posted September 17, 2016 Thank you, that is exactly what I was looking for.
horstepipe 422 Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 hey @@Luke if the setting was there before what means Exclude unrated trailers when parental control setting is applied in beta release log?
horstepipe 422 Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 (edited) Yes this was no yes/no question ebr pointed out that the problem was already solvable with that option in previous Emby versions. So what did you change in current beta? Edited September 17, 2016 by horstepipe
