Cinema Mode: Smart Parental Control for NC trailers

Recommended Posts

I'm not sure how the algorithm works currently but I've noticed the odd NC trailer sneaking in before playing some G or PG movies. Can something along the lines of ignoring NC trailers unless the movie is PG13 or greater be incorporated? My niece just got a trailer for Blind Detective before watching Frozen. Otherwise I may just have to disable Cinema Mode to avoid scaring the kids for life.

I guess we will just have to block content with ratings that we don't understand although that may end up decreasing the pool of content for cinema mode

I personally am fine with that as I don't generally watch foreign films but maybe other users may not care for it. Thanks

We already have an option for that in the Parental Control settings...

JDiesel - go to the parental control for the user in question and mark "Trailers" under the "Block content with no or unrecognized rating information".

I have turned off the cinema mode for my daughters account but it still plays and will play all trailers

Thank you, that is exactly what I was looking for.

Yes

this was no yes/no question :D

ebr pointed out that the problem was already solvable with that option in previous Emby versions. So what did you change in current beta?
