recording series, now says that you need to be a premier subscriber

I currently have 5 series that automatically record new shows but today I went to add a new show and it says that you need to be a premier subscriber to do a series recording, is this new?  Or is it because I already have 5 recording series already set and you need to have a premier membership to go above that?

Hi, yes, we're sorry about the change but we are working tirelessly on Live TV and we decided to make this change for the Dvr with external plugins. It is really an overwhelming amount of work for us supporting it on all of these platforms and devices, and in order for us to continue doing that, we need a little support from our users. You can still browse and watch TV and view recordings, it is only a few areas where we are asking for support. Thank you for your understanding.

I don't mind subscribing, but till I can use the Emby addon for my Nexus Player for Live TV without the need to transcode everything, I was holding off.  (everything stutters unless I set max bit rate to 15m)

Please provide information on that issue in the Android TV forum.   I guess you are using an external service.  Which one?

Hi.  Buying a single app does not give you Premiere features.  It just enables playback in that app.  

 

The same would be true of Cinema Mode functionality for instance.
