7Illusions No Sound Windows 10 Mobile

Hi,

 

I dont get sound on some videos on Windows 10 mobile. But i get it on all with the same app on my laptop.

 

Dont get sound from any videos that are being transcoded.

Also i dont get sounds from about 50% of the direct play videos either.

Are the ones that don't have sound a certain codec?  DTS?

From a few minutes of testing so far it appears that ac3 is causing the issue.

Below are ones with issues that i have found so far.

 

Direct Stream - MKV - h264 - ac3

Transcoding - MKV - h264 - ac3

 

Another question why would it transcode one MKV - h264 - ac3 but not the other?

 

Also a note that the play button disapeares when i goto landscape on a movie

For file I just tested:

 - direct streaming

- 1280x720 - h264 - ac3

It's always Beta, distributed via store.

But you can opt out of alphas, which are only deployed via hockeyapp

I too was running latest fast ring preview build on my 950 - I skipped the current one due to some of the reported bugs, but nevertheless, sound hasn't been working on my end.

Let me know what I can do to help.

Hi there,

 

IMHO it is definitely a problem with AC3.

 

Connecting from a Lumia 950 XL via internet (not LAN) I can play every Movies/TVShows with MP3 sound, but watching Movies/TVShows with AC3, no sound is playing.

 

The Ember App is working much better than the Emby Theatre on Windows 10 Mobile, so please(!!!) fix this issue as fast as possible.

 

Up to this I have to use my FireTV Stick connecting to my mobile phone, using emby in hotels or at friends.

Its transcoding them all now to aac.

Does windows 10 mobile not support ac3?
Would obviously prefer everything to direct stream instead of transcoding.

So far, so good, it seems.

It's transcoding h264/aac from an mkv with h264/ac3.
