horstepipe 422 Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 (edited) Hey Accessing the new to cinema and new on DVD Emby trailer channels works fine in Kodi. But when I enter the trailer archive the list stays empty. I guess something's timing out here because the list is so huge...? Is there something I can do? Edited September 14, 2016 by horstepipe
Angelblue05 4132 Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 What are you referring to exactly, when you say trailer archive?
horstepipe 422 Posted September 14, 2016 Author Posted September 14, 2016 What are you referring to exactly, when you say trailer archive? The Emby trailer channel contains 3 categories: - new and upcoming on cinema (about 100 trailers) - new and upcoming on DVD/Bluray (about 100 trailers) - movie trailer archive (about 1600 trailers) Regards
horstepipe 422 Posted September 14, 2016 Author Posted September 14, 2016 Maybe on more powerful server systems this is no issue, but my NAS needs even quite a long time to show those trailers in Web GUI.
sh0rty 717 Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Working well on my tablet and firetv. Did you try one of trailer trailer Addons in kodi instead? gesendet von meinem Galaxy Tab S2 LTE
horstepipe 422 Posted September 15, 2016 Author Posted September 15, 2016 I guess your server has more power than mine. How long does it take to show the first page of the trailer archive in web GUI? Here it takes about 20-30 seconds.
Happy2Play 9780 Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 Ya my small server cpu spikes to about 35% and takes about 3 second to open Trailer Archive. So I can imagine it is maxing the NAS cpu.
horstepipe 422 Posted September 15, 2016 Author Posted September 15, 2016 yes I know, that's why I want to adjust the timeout limit. Kodi stops trying after exact 30 seconds. Does this value come from Kodi or from Emby? The only timeout settings I found in advancedsettings.xml are those: <curlclienttimeout> <clienttimeout> <playlisttimeout> which unfortunately do not effect my problem.
Angelblue05 4132 Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 We do have a request timeout of 30 seconds when communicating with the Emby server. It's found in downloadutils.py line 35. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1

Or better dedicate to this issue? http://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/39151-trailers-and-movie-trailer-archive-access-time/ Edited September 15, 2016 by horstepipe
