Kiroha 1 Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Hello Emby Community I'm new to this soft and recently buy a Beelink GT1 device http://www.bee-link.com/Beelink-MiniPC-TV-BOX-54-1.html I'm use it with a Synology DS 713+ as Emby server Yesterday I tested a X265 Video and found that the Beelink doesn't decode the flux but the synology transcode it. I've got Kodi on the Beelink and the decode work great o it. Does I've miss something in parameters ? Thx a lot for answers
ebr 16169 Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Hi, we haven't tested that particular box but we query the device to see if it reports support for hevc and hevc 10bit. If you are transcoding due to that then the device must be reporting that it cannot handle it.
Kiroha 1 Posted September 14, 2016 Author Posted September 14, 2016 The ARM S912 support 4K 10Bit @60Hz Any solution for you to connect directly to my server for inspect log ? Thx
ebr 16169 Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 You can send a log from the app. See instructions in the Android TV section here: How to Report a Problem

ebr 16169 Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 You have your audio setting set to "Downmix to Stereo" and are playing a DTS multi-channel track. That may be why it is transcoding. Can you post the media info as displayed in our web client detail page? The above looks like maybe you ran media info against it or something. Thanks.
Kiroha 1 Posted September 15, 2016 Author Posted September 15, 2016 Hello. I don't find where to set the audio setting. Is on server side or client side ? Thx for answer
ebr 16169 Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 In the app. Last row on the home screen, first tile.
Kiroha 1 Posted September 15, 2016 Author Posted September 15, 2016 I just have option for direct or compatible and bitstream DTS
ebr 16169 Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 Okay, "Compatible" was renamed to "Downmix to Stereo" a few versions ago but your translation file probably didn't adjust it. In the log you submitted, it was set to "Compatible".
Kiroha 1 Posted September 15, 2016 Author Posted September 15, 2016 (edited) Ok I change to direct and no change. Synolgy continue to transcode You need another log ? Edited September 15, 2016 by Kiroha
Kiroha 1 Posted September 15, 2016 Author Posted September 15, 2016 Hmm i've just install Emby Theater on my Xbox One and same. All my X265 files are transcode by the synology

RanmaCanada 494 Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 For the S912 devices you NEED to use SPMC as the internal player does not yet support the S912 as it is too new. You could also try Archos media player as well, or MXPlayer. Please go into your settings and enable external players, and use one. As someone who exclusively uses Chinese Android boxes for Emby, I am pretty much the end user expert. EBR, this is another issue with people not understanding that not all the hardware will be supported by the software. All OP needs to do is play it through SPMC or Kodi and it will be fine. If I am stepping on your toes, please let me know.
Kiroha 1 Posted September 18, 2016 Author Posted September 18, 2016 Hello Here is the screen for Web App. Ranma, In the app I don't find option to use external player. The only option is to use VLC for live TV. Thanx for help
RanmaCanada 494 Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 Hello Here is the screen for Web App. Ranma, In the app I don't find option to use external player. The only option is to use VLC for live TV. Thanx for help EBR added it like 3 weeks ago. Unless it was only added to the beta and not rolled out to the mainstream app. And as for bitstreaming, the non -H products will not do TRUE-DTS or DTS-MA. They can only do regular DTS.
ebr 16169 Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 External players are only in beta at this point. 1
RanmaCanada 494 Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 External players are only in beta at this point. Thanks for that. The external player option is a total godsend. Though VLC support for the amilogic devices has been getting a lot better. I could finally play 10bit hevc anime with SSA subs and it was direct playing. Now, if only DTS sound would work haha. But it's possible it was because I don't have it hooked up to my reciever atm, and I don't think my TV does DTS.
