w3man 0 Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 I installed emby, and added two libraries. I noticed on the main screen, the images for movies are not being displayed. Is there a reason why the movie or tv episode images are not downloading? Any thoughts on what to check? Thanks
Luke 42077 Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Hi, welcome! Can you discuss some specific examples, and perhaps show a screenshot? Thanks !
w3man 0 Posted September 13, 2016 Author Posted September 13, 2016 Here is what i see. They are just blank..
Luke 42077 Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Has the initial library scan completed after setting up the server?
w3man 0 Posted September 13, 2016 Author Posted September 13, 2016 I loaded the server on Saturday. Right now it is 55.1%. Could that be the issue? Does the scan need to finish first?

w3man 0 Posted October 2, 2016 Author Posted October 2, 2016 The images have not downloaded. The library scan completed. Any thoughts?
Luke 42077 Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 Hi, try right clicking on one, select refresh. Then please provide the emby server log: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/739-how-to-report-a-problem/ Thanks.
w3man 0 Posted October 2, 2016 Author Posted October 2, 2016 I tired to refresh, here is a log file. log.zip
Luke 42077 Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 The server is trying to save images but is running into some access issues. It looks like you configured emby server to save metadata locally into media folders, but did not grant write access to the emby system user.

Can this location be changed?
Luke 42077 Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 It's trying to write into the same folder as the media file, and this behavior is off by default so it's only happening because you enabled it. To turn it off, go to the server dashboard -> metadata, then configure the setting about saving metadata into media folders.
