FrostByte 5392 Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 (edited) Ya, but doesn't it use DLNA to send to your TV from your tablet? I just assumed it did, maybe not Edited September 12, 2016 by FrostByte

the1legend 45 Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 What is 7's app? Is that the chrome app?
Hitsville 37 Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 What is 7's app? Is that the chrome app? Nope an unofficial Windows Store app. 1
FrostByte 5392 Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 Ahh, gotcha. you're running it like a htpc then. Maybe I need a Nuc and just use my server like a NAS 1
Hitsville 37 Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 Ahh, gotcha. you're running it like a htpc then. Maybe I need a Nuc and just use my server like a NAS Lol. That's actually how my set up is too. My client runs on a dedicated NUC that's always on. Coming from Plex I was pretty distraught that Emby doesn't yet have an embedded client....but the superior UI makes it worth my while sticking around. So anyway with no embedded I had to stick W10 on the NUC and now I'm just looking for something that will do DTS to my receiver and doesn't go out of full screen after a long delay. Sadly the Emby Theatre .exe app does this constantly.

FrostByte 5392 Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 I am guessing 7 will get it going with the xbox. It may be more of a XB1 issue from what I read, not 100% sure though
ebr 16169 Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Nope an unofficial Windows Store app. I wouldn't call it "unofficial". How about "3rd party" .
Hitsville 37 Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 (edited) I wouldn't call it "unofficial". How about "3rd party" . Haha yeah sorry. it was a poor choice or terminology I'm still stuck in Plex mode There the pre 2016 Samsung TV app and OpenPHT are called unofficial apps lol. Another synonym being "they actually work". Cant believe how spoilt for choice I am with Emby on windows. The lack of an embedded client may not be such an issue to me after all. Anyways my girlfriend will kill me if I go fully back to Plex Edited September 14, 2016 by davehobson
