Trouble w/ unlock/purchase on Fire TV 2

Hi,

 

I purchased/unlocked the app for my Fire TV.  I had the trial on my Fire TV2 and the trial ran out.  I re-installed but there is no option to unlock/purchase.  I have tried to un-install then re-install and have no option to purchase the app for the Fire TV2.  Can you help?

If the app is already purchased/unlocked, there will not be an option.  A re-installation should not affect this as the purchase record is kept in your Amazon account.

 

What, exactly, is the issue you are having?

The app has not been purchased for this particular Fire TV 2. The the app quits working after the trial period which then requires another installation and you don't get your money.  The app has to be purchased for each unit, right?

Not if you're logoed in with the same amazon amount that made the purchase on the other device.

OK then.  It is working at this time.  

 

FYI. What has happened is that when Emby is selected a blurry white/gray screen is displayed and the only remote key that is responsive is the return/exit key which takes me out of the app to the Fire TV home screen.  I then uninstall and install to get it to work again.

 

I'll return to this thread if it happens again.  Is there anything you want me to do in the mean time?

Can you tell me what time that happened last and/or the name of the Emby user that was logged in?

User John on Emby server Dashboard.  Time?  I think 9/8/16 in the afternoon or early evening.  It may have been still in that condition the next day when I think I re-installed the app on the FTV2.

Okay, unfortunately, I don't see a crash log from that period with that user.

 

What you describe is the behavior when the app has crashed and the only way to get it going again is to force-close it.   You re-installed which was more extreme than necessary but has the same effect.

 

I was hoping to see why the app had crashed in the first place.  Please let me know the particulars if it happens again.  Thanks.

Thanks ebr.  If it happens again I'll just force close and start again. I'll let you know of time and date.  Is there any other info you need?  If so, can I capture it? How?

The time it happens and the Emby user and server name would help me track down if a log was sent.  Thanks.
