93stisa 1 Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Base info Server: Windows 10 Intel NUC Network share: Synology NAS The network connection is 1GB/S. The issue When I use the resume function in Emby on videos, it loads fast but I'm having an issue with the sound, it gets out of sync. Some times with just one second and sometimes up to 3-4. If I pause and wait 10 sec and resumes its still same problem. I've manage to fix it once with changing quality of the video. When I tried it next time it didnt work. This is mostly on my browser (Firefox), I think its the same on my Android and when using chromecast.
socalredneck 11 Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 I've had the same issue, for I don't know how long, maybe always??? I use firefox as my browser, and it only happens on a browser. I don't have any issue with my Roku's. I don't have Chrome loaded on my system and Internet Explorer won't play Emby videos.
Luke 42085 Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 Can you provide a sample video for testing? thanks,
93stisa 1 Posted September 12, 2016 Author Posted September 12, 2016 Hi, do you see this with chrome? No problem in Chrome!
93stisa 1 Posted September 12, 2016 Author Posted September 12, 2016 It seems like in chrome the video loads while in firefox it just jumps right into it
socalredneck 11 Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 I've found that if I change my resolution down from 480p - 4Mbps down to 480p - 720kbps, then the audio & video are back sync. This happens on any of my movies, they are all .mkv format.
Luke 42085 Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 Thanks I'll do more testing with firefox.
arrbee99 1817 Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 Also getting this out of sync sound when playing in ordinary Chrome web interface, sound is ahead of video, video sometimes not smooth. Just tried on two bluray mkv rips. When played in ET they're fine. On latest Win 10 Pro, playing on same machine as video files.
Luke 42085 Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 can you provide a sample file for testing? thanks.
arrbee99 1817 Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 Was just experimenting with a few browsers, which I seem to collect, just with an uncompressed bluray mkv rip of a movie ( so its a good 20plusGb) - Chrome - sound out of sync, ahead of picture, which has the odd stutter Firefox - no problem IE - no problem, starts a bit slower Edge - no problem, starts a bit slower Vivaldi - some stuttering but stays in sync ET - no problem. Will try to upload a bluray of a TV show, but its going to be big.....
