Is faststart, web optimized or inter 500 beneficial?

Hi, I am converting my collection from MKV to MP4 container, video is h264 a audio AAC. I have read that it is beneficial for streaming having MOOV at the start of the file though ffmpeg option "-movflags faststart" or MP4Box -inter 500 or checking the "Web Optimized" in handbrake...

 

Is this truth for Emby or completely irrelevant???

I tried moving my entire collection to putting the moov atom at the start and I find that emby detects the videos as invalid once I do so. if I rerun them through ffmpeg with just the copy option and leave the moov atom at the end the videos play fine. I would not recommend putting the moov atom at the beginning.
