Koleckai Silvestri 1154 Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 Is there supposed to be a task to remove missing episodes? I add new episodes of a show and the missing entry stays there until I manually delete it. My episodes are named like: show name.sXXeYY.Episode Name.mkv. There is no problem with Media Browser obtaining the metadata for the episode and creating the proper files. The above is just an example but it happens for every series.
Koleckai Silvestri 1154 Posted January 15, 2014 Author Posted January 15, 2014 (edited) Hmmm... I am not experiencing that at all. They aren't getting removed at all. In the screen shot above, Episode 7 was added last week. Last Library Scan was a minute ago as I added another episode. The missing episode is still there. I'll get a log. Luke 42077 Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 they currently don't get removed until the next library scan.
Koleckai Silvestri 1154 Posted January 16, 2014 Author Posted January 16, 2014 Anyway to remove all missing episodes and then rebuild them in bulk?
Solution abeloin 28 Posted January 16, 2014 Solution Posted January 16, 2014 Anyway to remove all missing episodes and then rebuild them in bulk? No you need to do it manually. Looking at your log, I saw this each time the library scan is running: 2014-01-14 10:01:34.5371, Info, App, Creating virtual missing episode Naruto Shippuuden 1x1 2014-01-14 10:01:34.5401, Info, App, Creating Season 1 entry for Naruto Shippuuden 2014-01-14 10:01:34.5401, Error, App, Error running postscan task A child with the Id 257218a5-38cc-c642-9d6b-9f5ac72497cc already exists. System.ArgumentException at MediaBrowser.Controller.Entities.Folder.<AddChild>d__5.MoveNext() --- End of stack trace from previous location where exception was thrown --- at System.Runtime.CompilerServices.TaskAwaiter.ThrowForNonSuccess(Task task) at System.Runtime.CompilerServices.TaskAwaiter.HandleNonSuccessAndDebuggerNotification(Task task) at MediaBrowser.Providers.TV.MissingEpisodeProvider.<AddSeason>d__7e.MoveNext() The scan is failing in Naruto Shippuuden. Have a look into the Metadata editor if a Naruto s01e01 virtual episode exists? 1
Luke 42077 Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Yea there's no need to remove and rebuild them, the problem will just come back. better to hunt down the reason for that exception.
Koleckai Silvestri 1154 Posted January 16, 2014 Author Posted January 16, 2014 Hmmm... Looking at that show, if I go into season 1 then all the listed episodes are for season 2. Season 2 shows Season 3 episodes. Etc... These are all virtual episodes. We only have real episodes starting with season 7. I've removed that show from an active media library and ran a couple library scans. Will get another log if the issue continues.
