janpfo 0 Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 I've tried everything now, reinstalling, deleting all files etc. I try to start emby with "sudo service emby-server start", no error, no response. Try to open the web-interface, nothing. Everything worked fine, and suddenly it stopped working. When I check the status, I get: emby-server.service - Emby Media Server Loaded: loaded (/lib/systemd/system/emby-server.service; enabled; vendor preset: enabled) Active: inactive (dead) since ma. 2016-09-05 01:25:04 CEST; 2min 30s ago Process: 8788 ExecStopPost=/usr/bin/emby-server clear (code=exited, status=0/SUCCESS) Process: 8762 ExecStart=/usr/bin/emby-server start (code=exited, status=0/SUCCESS) Main PID: 8762 (code=exited, status=0/SUCCESS) sep. 05 01:25:04 htpc systemd[1]: Started Emby Media Server. sep. 05 01:25:04 htpc su[8762]: Successful su for emby by root sep. 05 01:25:04 htpc su[8762]: + ??? root:emby sep. 05 01:25:04 htpc su[8762]: pam_unix(su:session): session opened for user emby by (uid=0)
lox 0 Posted September 5, 2016 Posted September 5, 2016 I have the exact same issue on Ubuntu 16.04, fresh install of both: the OS and emby-server
Luke 42077 Posted September 5, 2016 Posted September 5, 2016 Hi, we're looking into it. in the meantime, a workaround can be found here: http://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/38521-server-wont-restart-after-crash/?p=361975 Thanks.
