osak00006 12 Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 Hi Guys, So I just upgraded my router (from simply using Comcast's Modem/Router) to a Linksys 5400 (EA9500). I rebuild Emby from scratch on my server, to resolve a few issues, and no I'm getting playback errors and serious lagtag when trying to jump forward/back in playback of files that do play... Log: http://pastebin.com/T9TxFqc8 Iron Man 2 is the video that fails. I've had no issues playing the exact same file via Emby, previously. Anything stand out in the log?
Luke 42078 Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 Hi, is there a transcoding log you can supply as well? thanks.
osak00006 12 Posted September 5, 2016 Author Posted September 5, 2016 (edited) Hi, is there a transcoding log you can supply as well? thanks. http://pastebin.com/JAA8EFJL Do I have a setting wrong? This is within my LAN (via Cat6). Not sure why it would be transcoding... Edited September 5, 2016 by osak00006
osak00006 12 Posted September 5, 2016 Author Posted September 5, 2016 Here's my remux, as well: http://pastebin.com/HCMJNpdm Just in case that contains anything helpful...
Luke 42078 Posted September 5, 2016 Posted September 5, 2016 Well captain america will require transcoding because the only browser that supports that audio format is Microsoft Edge, and no browser supports dvd subtitles.
osak00006 12 Posted September 5, 2016 Author Posted September 5, 2016 Got it. Any insights into Iron Man 2 failed playback? Captain America plays fine...
Luke 42078 Posted September 5, 2016 Posted September 5, 2016 For iron man, same situation for the audio format.

Luke 42078 Posted September 5, 2016 Posted September 5, 2016 I've already downloaded it and it seems to be playing ok for me.
osak00006 12 Posted September 5, 2016 Author Posted September 5, 2016 How do I manually open it in Emby?
osak00006 12 Posted September 5, 2016 Author Posted September 5, 2016 Hmmm. This file plays OK for me. Must have changed something when splitting... What's the best way to split an MKV without altering the source info?
Luke 42078 Posted September 5, 2016 Posted September 5, 2016 I don't know because most tools that touch it are also going to fix errors in the file when they remux it. Let's try to play with this manually. first, try running the command line on your own /bin/ffmpeg -fflags +genpts -i file:"/mnt/user/Movies/Marvel Cinematic Universe/Iron Man 2 (2010)/Iron Man 2 (2010) BluRay 1080p.mkv" -map 0:0 -map 0:1 -map -0:s -codec:v:0 copy -copyts -avoid_negative_ts disabled -start_at_zero -map_metadata -1 -threads 0 -codec:a:0 libmp3lame -ac 2 -ab 448000 -af "aresample=async=1,volume=2" -y "/config/transcoding-temp/b19aee88ff4238fc329333625c27675b.mkv"
Luke 42078 Posted September 5, 2016 Posted September 5, 2016 If you can reproduce the problem on your own, then try this version and see if it resolves it: /bin/ffmpeg -fflags +genpts -i file:"/mnt/user/Movies/Marvel Cinematic Universe/Iron Man 2 (2010)/Iron Man 2 (2010) BluRay 1080p.mkv" -map 0:0 -map 0:1 -map -0:s -flags -global_header -codec:v:0 copy -copyts -avoid_negative_ts disabled -start_at_zero -map_metadata -1 -threads 0 -codec:a:0 libmp3lame -ac 2 -ab 448000 -af "aresample=async=1,volume=2" -y "/config/transcoding-temp/b19aee88ff4238fc329333625c27675b.mkv"

Luke 42078 Posted September 5, 2016 Posted September 5, 2016 have you switched operating systems here? because you posted linux logs earlier.
osak00006 12 Posted September 5, 2016 Author Posted September 5, 2016 have you switched operating systems here? because you posted linux logs earlier. Sorry. My Unraid server runs Linux. I know next to nothing about Linux, beyond that. I run Windows 7 builds. When I test it and it fails, I'm testing via Chrome on a Windows 7 PC... but Emby, which I guess is the playback engine, is running Linux via Unraid
