jant90 15 Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 In the coming week I'll be moving my Emby install to a new server (new hardware). I'm currently running it on Ubuntu Server 14.04 LTS and I will install Ubuntu Server 16.04 LTS on the new server. Now, what will be the best way to move my Emby install, complete with users, user passwords and watched state, to the new server? The library will contain the same content and same structure but it will be in a different master folder on the new server, in case that matters. Any advice is greatly appreaciated .
Luke 42077 Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 Hi, try our backup plugin, which you can install in the Emby web interface. 1
kjp4756 41 Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 I used this method when moving from freenas to ubuntu 16.04. Worked perfectly. http://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/10427-how-to-migrate-emby-server/ 1
