Server crashes instantly

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

So I came home today to a server that just crashes all the time. I normally run the beta build, but have tried downloading both beta and stable to no avail. Logs attached.

Weirfly it also seems to update to dev build, which I have NEVER used, but it crashes before I can change the update setting. It stays up just long enough for me to see the version. 3.1.6086.13780

Can you please define "crashes"?

I don't see a crash in those logs and you didn't post an exception log (I assume one was not generated).

I start the server, by the time i go to look at it, it is updating to some version it shouldn't and exits. I can assure you everyone one of those logs ended abrubtly, so if there is no helpful information in them then I guess I;m stuffed.

The only thing I can think of now is to completely uninstall and start fresh.

I would try removing plugins and seeing if the issue persists.

Good thought, but it doesn't stay up long enough to do anything, unless there is a manual way to edit them?

yea just remove all the dll files from C:\Users\Theatre\AppData\Roaming\MediaBrowser-Server\plugins

cool, maybe that as there were a few plugin updates recently. Also the stable version is instantly updating to DEV by the looks.

The following components have been installed or updated:

MBServer (3.1.6087.25762)

Please restart the server to finish applying updates.

The updates section says DEV which is pretty weird, as I didnt change it, nor have I ever used DEV.

try setting your update level back to stable, then shut down and install stable on top of your current release.
