EMBY on Philips PUK6400 Android TV

Hello,

 

I just started using EMBY with a combination of the latest versions of Windows Server and Android App on my Philips PUK6400 Android TV. On my Windows Server I have also DVBVIEWER Recording Service running.

 

I experienced severe Playback problems when trying to play either recorded videos or Live TV with the DVBVIEWER plugin (just like with PLEX e.g. With KODI I can playback without problem).

However, when I use the "External Player" option for Movies and Live-TV with MX Player everything runs just perfect. That would really work for me and I would like to support the team by purchasing EMBY Premiere.

 

However, I would like to assure that there are no plans to remove this "External Player Option". PLEX also has this Option in the Android app but for some reeason they removed it from the Android TV version.

 

Also what I have seen is that playback of recordings still uses the internal player. Would it be possible to add an option to also use the External Player for Recodings and all other kind of videos.

 

So can you please at least commit that the "External Player" option will not be removed in a future release.
