Display a folder view to show plain media folders (Broken)

This feature still shows all enhanced views when enabled.  Only way I can see to get Folder Views is manually modifying the user config.xml.

Doesnt that setting create a "folders" viewtype that contains each library. Is your "folders" row missing? The "enhanced presentation" was responsible for creating the suggested, latest, etc view. If the "enhanced presentation" is indeed gone, was it left in the config only as an xml attribute? Is that what you mean? I am still on an older version of the server so this works as designed for me.

It creates a Folder option on Home Screen that open to Libraries and the Libraries are opened in enhanced view so it is really just adding and additional box to click on Home Screen.  So there is no way to get folder view from enabling this option.  And configuring the xml you lose "enhanced presentation" all together in both.

 

But I believe it has been this way since folder view option was moved to Library-Display.

Nothing is actually checking the old user-specific setting anymore. I'm just going to remove it.

The option isn't removed, just relocated from user setting to global in the server dashboard.

Luke, can you please tell me where in the server is this relocated? I have been looking for the option and for the life of me can't find it.

 

To be clear, I have unchecked all the boxes underneath "automatically group content from the following..." in the "home screen" settings. Is that what you meant?

I'm running 3.0.6400 and I think I'm having this same problem.  The folder view doesn't look any different than the normal view.  Some of my folders are being identified as media, making the contents of said folders inaccessible.  My library isn't structured in the recommended way, but that shouldn't matter with the folder view, correct?

Try updating to the latest version of Emby Server. It should look different in the web app, android, and iOS. Other apps may require some additional work though.
