Please post any questions about the Program Launcher for MBT in this thread.

Image path and program path should open a browse dialog to make it simpler to add a new program.

What size should the image be (may want to have a suggested size listed)

Snazy - any size is good, but 16*9 AR is recommended

Thanks. Was able to add Hulu, Amazon Prime Unbox, and Netflix quite easily. Hulu and Netflix are shortcuts that launch in Google Chrome. Amazon Prime Unbox is their app that lets you download videos you have purchased.

unbox is actually an app or does it just launch a url?

Unbox is a Windows 7 Program. http://smile.amazon.com/gp/video/ontv/player

This is a very easy plugin to configure. I can see people adding a variety of things. I've since added Pandora and Spotify for music. Pandora is a link and Spotify is an application.

Doesn't support shortcut files though. So to get a web page open, I had to set:

Program Path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe

Command line arguments: hulu.com

For images, I created an Apps directory in my Media share and have a folder with the image for each App that I add.

Seems to work great so far, added hulu and amazon instant as chrome pages using the command line argument --kiosk http:\\www.address.com to get them to open fullscreen.

Tested it with PC games and yes they work fine, but I have over 100 so im not adding them :P

Also works with steam shortcuts if you use

Program Path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steam.exe

Command Line Argument: -applaunch gameID  (ex:  -applaunch 18300)

To get your games steam ID just right click a game in your steam library and click create desktop shortcut, then right click the shortcut and go to properties and you'll see the game ID like this: steam://rungameid/18300

I have noticed though if you dont add an image path it says the program name is invalid, confused me for a second at first but once I added an image path it was fine.

Great plugin though lets me add everything I wanted to to MBT :)

Explore and try to find it. If you can't then let us know because that means we need to make it easier.

Any chance getting this ported to MBC?

This is really handy :-)

I set up Vevo using Chrome kiosk mode. How do you exit back to MBT though? I ended up using task manager to kill the Chrome.exe process!

Alt-F4 on the active window should kill it. If using a remote, you will have to see if you can program a button for this.

Just need to get the image size right now lol

Glad you have it fixed. You want 16X9 ratio images. I am using 1280 X 720 and they work well.

I created an image folder on my server \\NAS-A0-B4-14\media\Program Launcher\Sky Go\

Placed an image inside this folder, but in settings, it keeps saying 'Please enter a valid image path'. The image path is \\NAS-A0-B4-14\media\Program Launcher\Sky Go\

Not quite sure what I am doing wrong

You need the image name at the end of the path.... e.g. hulu-logo.png.

The image file is skygo, and is a jpeg. entering skygo, or skygo.jpeg at the end makes no difference

Have you tried renaming it to skygo.jpg and using that. Elsewhere in the ecosystem they say they support jpg and png. I know jpeg is the same format as jpg but they might not recognize the longer extension.

I notice in chrome you can use kiosk to go full screen. Does anyone know if there is a way to do it in firefox? I only want fullscreen for url's I have launched via program launcher

No luck there. It's gonna be something simple, as nobody else seems to be having a problem

Just moved it to my laptop where the server and MBT are installed, and still getting the same error
