Beardyname 198 Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 So this is the second machine I'm installing MBT on, the first one is working flawlessly and i have been using it for several days. On this machine though i noticed something odd during the installation - i did not get to choose if i wanted to install Reclock, Madvr or XySubFilter. But i thought no biggie ill go ahead and install them separately. I logged in on my account and everything appears as it should, i however can not play anything :/ MBT log : http://pastebin.com/KW3dSP4Q MBT - Installation log http://pastebin.com/KSQDXr9B Both computers are on the same network, the successful one is running Windows 8 and the failure one is running Windows 7.
pmac 143 Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 I believe MBT only recognizes the (x86) version of xy-VSFilter, I had a similar issue, and found out it was because I have the 64-bit version installed, you may want to check on that, if that's the case with you.
Davidtt485 6 Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 It most certainly looks lik the Xy is the issue, it is set to true meaning that MBT wants to use it and tries too but doesnt find it so it ends. 2014-01-12 12:35:23.5771, Info, DirectShowPlayer, Playing Pilot. Luke 42077 Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 it's x86 versions only. i will make that clear in teh app
Beardyname 198 Posted January 23, 2014 Author Posted January 23, 2014 I resolved this by reinstalling vlc + mbt and now its working as it should so mark this as solved!
pmac 143 Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Seems strange that you should need to install vlc as well. I installed MBT on a fresh system install, and only followed the prompts to install everything from within MBT, and everything went smoothly. It should work just fine as a (basically) standalone application, with it guiding you through the installation of the necessary components. It seems like it was likely looking for the xy-vsfilters in the "\program files(x86)\" folder, and not finding them, but when you installed VLC, it (possibly?) installed them to that location for you, thus, letting MBT find the filters it was looking for.
