apienaar 0 Posted June 28, 2017 Posted June 28, 2017 Thank you Luke , ebr and Happy2Play I found everything I needed. I really appreciate yor assistance. Regards Hi Luke, ebr, Happy2Play I trust you guys are well. I moved my cache, metadata and transcoding-temp folders as per discussion above. I however found that it did not make a big difference to my problem (shortage of space on my C drive). Further investigation has shown that the "ImagesByName" [C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\MediaBrowser-Server\ImagesByName] and "data" [C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\MediaBrowser-Server\data] folders holds by far the biggest amount of data (lots more than the 3 folders I could move). Is there any way that these folders can be relocated to another drive as well (like the other 3 folders)? Thanks

Thanks If you customized the path for those then you have to manually move the existing info or delete it. The IBN is obsolete so same applies copy corresponding folder to new metadata location or delete, but by now everything should have regenerated. Is there a metadata folder in your DATA folder? If so this was from a change about a year ago, delete or relocate. But by now all the information has been regenerated in your new metadata location.
apienaar 0 Posted June 28, 2017 Posted June 28, 2017 Thanks Happy2Play that is really helpful information. I did manually move and delete the data and yes there was a metadata folder (which I moved and deleted). As I understand it the "ImagesByName" and "data" folders are no longer being used and can be deleted. As I said these folders contained huge amounts of data and used a large amount of disk space whilst being obsolete. Maybe it should be considered that Emby delete unused folders and data programmatically when it is no longer in use. Regards
Luke 42077 Posted June 28, 2017 Posted June 28, 2017 You can't delete the data folder, no. But as happy2play suggests, it looks like you can delete ImagesByName.
