Path substitutions with FTP

Hi everybody,

 

One of you try to use path substitution to direct play with a FTP server ?

 

I tried and it works when I put the credentials into the path on the server but it doesn't if I use the network credentials on Emby for kodi and modify the password.xml to match with my configuration.

 

By default when you create network credentials the password.xml looks like smb://SRV/ to smb://Login:PW@SRV/. Then I tried to put FTP:// instead SMB:// but doesn't work.

 

Any ideas ?

Hi, this is currently not supported.

You may be able to get this to work by:

 

1. Change playback mode to 'Native'

2. Reset DB

3. Implement native Kodi path substitution: http://kodi.wiki/view/Path_substitution

You're the MAN @@xnappo . I make a little try with my betatest server and It works very well !!!

 

I'm gonna make more test but seems ok.
